India will play Zimbabwe in the second T20I on Sunday at the same venue, Harare, where they had played the previous ODIs and T20Is. India leads the series 1-0 after having recorded their first win over Zimbabwe of the tour and it took them to win the toss to actually win the game! having said that, there was no difference between the pitch in the first innings from the second innings and that meant that the game was evenly fought by both the sides.

No, India has not reached the final of the Micromax Mobile Cup in Zimbabwe. Instead, it is the hosts, Zimbabwe and the Sri Lankans who will contest the final that will be played at Harare, on Wednesday. And to the surprise of many, the Zimbabweans ended the group stage at the top of the points table with three wins, whereas Sri Lanka had only two!

India take on Sri Lanka in the fifth game of the Micromax Cup tri-series in Zimbabwe. The game will be played at Harare, and will be a must-win scenario for the Indians.

Especially after their disgusting loss to Zimbabwe, which was so one-sided in nature that one could be forgiven if one believed that the Indians had decided to play gracious hosts to a bunch of pirates.

The pitch may have been slower than expected, but the question on everyone’s lips is, that isn’t this what is India’s speciality – playing spin and dishing out spinners?

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will be rubbing their hands in glee, knowing well that the opposition has been routed twice by Zimbabwe and the morale may not be at the highest. Winning the toss could just mean that the Lankans have gone on to win the game!

Zimbabwe beat India in the opening game of the tri-series at Bulwayao by six wickets and with ten balls to spare. It was a second-string Indian team alright, but the win was well deserved for Zimbabwe, especially given that they were chasing down 286 for a win.

Elton Chigumbura had a horror start to his captaincy as he bowled 20 wides and one no-ball in the first two overs that he bowled to create a new record in the first ODI of the tri-series between India and Zimbabwe. Chigumbura’s over lasted 12 balls!
