Suspended IPL chairman, Lalit Modi, has asked the Indian cricket board President Shashank Manohar and the secretary, N Srinivasan to appoint an independent panel to judge on his suspension. Both, Manohar and Srinivasan are supposed to sit in that panel that decides the future of Modi in the IPL Governing Council.
The Indian cricket board has said that it will allow an extension of ten days for suspended chairman of the IPL, Lalit Modi, to reply to the second show-cause that was sent to him by BCCI.

The Governing Council meeting in the BCCI offices ended at 11.50 am IST. Chirayu Amin has been appointed as the new chairman of the interim Governing Council. Amin is a member of a Baroda Cricket Association and is an industrialist.
