India beat Pakistan in a humdinger of a game at Dambulla to book their place in the final of the Asia Cup. Suresh Raina was the hero for the Indians in the end, as he kept his cool throughout the last few overs to guide his side to a win when all looked lost for the side.
Chasing 268 for a win, the Indians looked like they were on the top when they were 180/2 in the 36th over of the game, with Gautam Gambhir on his second 80 of the tournament.
However, Gambhir’s wicket and then three quick scalps of Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni and R Jadeja pulled Pakistan back into the game.
The asking rate-rate escalated to more than nine runs per over and despite having the batting powerplay in hand, the quick wickets pushed India back.
It was here that Raina came together with Harbhajan Singh to ensure that the Indians needed seven runs going into the last over, and with four wickets in hand.
