Chris Gayle smashed a near match-winning hundred when he smacked the Indian attack for a 98 in the match between India and West Indies. Gayle was run-out for 98 in the last over while going for a second run to retain the strike.

Chris Gayle missed the second game of the ICC World T20, 2010, in the match between West Indies and Ireland due to a side stiffness. Dwayne Bravo replaced Gayle as the captain.

Bravo said that Gayle had woken up with some stiffness, but should be fit for the next game.

Bravo had also captained the Mumbai Indians in one game in the IPL this year against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Kolkata Knight Riders were in early pressure in their game against the Chennai Super Kings when they lost four wickets off the first 25 balls of the game for 18 runs.
