Champions League 2013 live streaming
The Champions League Twenty20 tournament which was started in 2009 has entered its fifth edition this year. Featuring the top twenty20 sides from around the world, this cash rich tournament is returning to India. The Champions League T20 2013 will be streamed live online much like the IPL.
Ten teams will take part in the competition from September 17 to October 6. Eight of these sides have already been seeded while the remaining two slots will be decided by the outcome of the qualifying round.
Four teams including Faysal Wolves, Pakistan’s domestic T20 champion will vie for the last two spots. However their participation will be decided on political terms between India and Pakistan. Sunrisers Hyderabad, the fourth placed team in the IPL, will fight it out against Otago Volts from New Zealand and the winner of the Sri Lankan Premier league.
Mumbai Indians will look to win their second title after winning the IPL for the first time this year. Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are the two other sides from the IPL. Home conditions are more likely to favor the IPL teams more than the other sides in the competition.
Trinidad & Tobago announced their presence in the first edition of the tournament. They feature in the main draw unlike the previous years, when they had to advance from the initial qualifying stage. There will be no English sides, due to a conflict in schedule with the county championship. Here is a look at how the groups stand.
Group A: Mumbai Indians(IND) , Highveld Lions (SAF), Perth Scorchers (AUS), Rajasthan Royals (IND), Q1 (Qualifier)
Group B: Chennai Super Kings (IND), Titans (SAF), Brisbane Heat (AUS), Trinidad & Tobago (WI), Q2 (Qualifier)
Qualifier: Sunrisers Hyderabad (IND), Otago Volts (NZ), Sri Lanka Premier League winner, Faisalabad Wolves (PAK)
