Zimbabwe v Pakistan 2nd ODI at Harare Live Score and Preview
Zimbabwe are set to resume their series against Pakistan at Harare on Sunday with Pakistan leading the 3 match series 1-0.
After a successful series against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe are now facing a real test as they come up against Pakistan – who are traditionally one of the most strongest opponents in world cricket.
Pakistan have already registered a win in the first match and are ahead in the series. They will be aiming for a win in Harare in order to experiment with combinations in the last match with the series already in the bag.
Zimbabwe v Pakistan 2nd ODI Live Score and Match Highlights here
The last match was a closely fought encounter though and Pakistan will want to win much more convincingly than they did in the last occasion. However, for that to happen, the Pakistani top order needs to fire.
The likes of Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq were brilliant the other day, and if they continue firing all guns blazing, Pakistan should win big.
A lot of the spotlight has been on Shoaib Malik as he returned to competitive cricket after a spell on the sidelines. The likes of Saeed Ajmal were also brilliant and will be very difficult to deal with for the Zimbabweans.
Zimbabwe on the other hand will want to prove that their success against Bangladesh was no fluke. Harare has been kind to the home team unlike Bulawayo – where the team has not won a single competitive match this year.
Pitch Report
The pitch at Harare is a good one with ample bounce and good carry through to the wicketkeeper. The quickies will receive quite a bit of help from the pitch. Traditionally, there are a lot of cracks on this pitch that the bowlers would like to exploit.
Men To Watch
Zimbabwe – Brendan Taylor is our man to watch. The man is in good form at the moment and has scored a few centuries in the last month or so. He relishes a good challenge and comes on top most often.
Pakistan – Aizaz Cheema is our man to watch for Pakistan. This young fast bowler promises exciting times ahead for Pakistan cricket.
