Chris Gayle hits 37 runs in over against Kochi Tuskers

Chris Gayle, who has already scored two centuries in the four game of the IPL this season, showed that he had not given up on the ghost. Chasing a meagre score of 126 for a win, Gayle opened the innings with T Dilshan for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and smacked the ball around from the word go.

In the first over, Gayle hit only one six off the bowling of RP Singh, but it was in the third over of the innings and first from Parameswaran that he really went after the bowling.

Gayle started off with two sixes, the second of which was a no-ball. This was followed by two boundaries and two more sixes before the last ball went for a four again to plunder 37 runs in one over from Parameswaran.

Later, Gayle was dismissed for a 16-ball 44 by Vinay Kumar, but by then, the deed had been done and the Royal Challengers Bangalore were well and truly on their way to winning the game.
