An angry Kevin Pietersen lashed out at the English selectors for dropping him from the ODIs and the T20I squads of England against Pakistan. Even before he was sacked, Pietersen tweeted, “Done for rest of summer!! Man of the World Cup T20 and dropped from the T20 side too. Its a f**k up!!”, something that he removed only minutes later.

The limited overs games against Pakistan is the final series that England plays before they head to Australia to take them on in the Ashes.
However, Pietersen’s tweet was circulated by the Netizens and became national news by the time he had deleted the post. The chairman of selectors, Geoff Miller said that such kind of language could hardly be expected out of a cricketer of Pietersen’s repute and that he will have a talk with him. Miller also said that the coach, Andy Flower will speak with Pietersen about this soon.
Earlier, Australia Phil Hughes had tweeted about his selection before the announcement was made, and faced a rap from the Australian management.
Pietersen was dropped from the ODI and the T20I squad to take on Pakistan after a string of poor performances. He has not had a great summer and after being the man of the series in World T20, Pietersen has struggled to get going with the bat. England also dropped Craig Kieswetter from their ODI squad, in favour of Steven Davies. Kieswetter continues to be a part of the T20I squad.
This is the last series that England play before the Ashes against Australia from November.
