The 2010 edition of the Ashes series between Australia and England will be played from November this year. The first Test match will be played in November at Brisbane. Already, it has been announced that the sale of tickets for the premier Test cricket series in the world has picked up so well, that the chances of the same getting booked fully much before the first ball is bowled are rather high.

Less than 100 seats now remain in the reserved section of the Gabba in Brisbane, as both, Australia and England look to win the series that had seen an exciting five games in the previous edition in England. England are the current holders of the Ashes urn, after beating Australia 2-1 in the previous series. However, Australia had beaten England in the previous series that was played in Australia.
It has also been reported that the tickets for the first couple of days of all the Ashes Test matches have been almost sold out, as have been for all the days of the Brisbane game. However, there is much availability of the tickets for the rest of the Test matches in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney.
Even the Cricket Australia chief, James Sutherland has exhorted the fans to buy their tickets to avoid any last moment rush.
