Shahid Afridi slams century against Sri Lanka: Asia Cup Highlights
Shahid Afridi smacked a super-quick century against Sri Lanka off only 68 balls to guide his side to a near-winning situation in the first game of the Asia Cup.
Afridi came to bat in the 14th over of the Pakistani inning, when the Pakistani side had slumped to 32/4 and were struggling to keep themselves afloat.
One of the first things that he did whilst at the crease was to smack the ball around, including a couple of sixes off the bowling of Muthiah Muralitharan. His knock consisted of six sixes in all, and it looked like the Afridi of old, who could smack the ball around, was back.
Unfortunately, towards the end of the innings, he began to cramp up and when on 92, fell down in fatigue while attempting to play a pull stroke. That also did not deter him from going on and getting to a century with a four cut away to the fence.
