Gambhir vents anger at Delhi top-order

Gautam Gambhir has continued to bat off the field as aggressively as he usually bats on it. Talking in the post-match conference after the game against the Chennai Super Kings, Gambhir said that it was time the top-order started taking more responsibility.

After winning the game, and when asked whether he was worried about going down despite chasing a smallish total, Gambhir replied in the affirmative and said that the top-order batsmen cannot obviously get away by saying that it is their natural way of batting.

In the game between Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings, the Daredevils lost three wickets for nothing, including the wickets of Virender Sehwag, Dave Warner and T Dilshan. Dilshan was making a comeback to the side after missing out on most of the tournament.

Gambhir then steadied the ship and scored a match-winning – and man of the match winning as well – half century.
