Interesting Shane Warne versus Sachin Tendulkar battle at Jaipur
7.4. WIDE. Warne thinks that Tendulkar has hit the ball while sweeping it. Umpire does not seem to think so.
7.4. Nicely played to the leg-side for a single.
7.6. Inside-out, through the right of the mid-off fielder, towards long-off, two runs.
Warne then bowled the 10th over of the innings. Only two balls to Tendulkar and the maestro milks him for a couple of runs in all.
It was in Warne’s third over that things begin to happen. First ball of the over, played back for no run. Second ball, inside out shot, to the long-off fence for a boundary. Third delivery, again, another inside-out stroke, this time even better, four more! A couple of singles later, Tendulkar on strike again. Warne drops a tad short, Tendulkar cuts the ball this time and it is another four!
Warne’s fourth over’s first ball got Tendulkar a couple towards wide long-on, which was followed by a dot ball, two, dot, dot and a single to end with figures of 4-0-33-0. Irrespective of the result of the game, Tendulkar had won this duel between the two great cricketers.
