Shoaib Malik’s passport seized by Hyderabad police

According to reports in the Times of India, a daily newspaper in India, the passport of Shoaib Malik has been seized by the Hyderabad police. The police has also questioned Malik after a police case was lodged against him by Ayesha Siddiqui’s father.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Coordination) Dwarka Tirumala Rao said, “The city police have questioned Shoaib Malik for one-and-a-half hours and they have also seized his passport. Immigration authorities have been informed about the case filed against Malik and his passport seizure.”

The police also added that they are probing into the case and trying to collect the evidence attached with it. They also added that Sania Mirza and her family was also supporting Malik and co-operating with the investigation.

Malik had earlier said that he was tricked into a marriage over the phone after he was shown photographs of some other girl in the early part of 2000s.
