Delhi Daredevils skipper, Gautam Gambhir was reprimanded by the IPL for breaching its code of conduct after the Delhi side had beaten Rajasthan in the previous game of the IPL.
Gambhir had said that he was not worried too much about the Rajasthan side once Yusuf Pathan was dismissed. Gambhir’s exact words were, “I think Rajasthan was never a threat. Except for Yusuf Pathan, the other guys were pretty ordinary. We thought Yusuf was the only danger-man and didn’t bother too much about anyone else.”
Gambhir was charged with a Level One offence, for which the minimum penalty is a reprimand and the maximum is a fine of 50% of the match fee. Gambhir was let off with a reprimand after he pleaded guilty of the same.
