Tendulkar fined $40,000 for slow over-rate

Sachin Tendulkar has been fined $40,000 for the slow over-rate that was maintained in the game between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab at the Brabourne Stadium.

The rest of the Mumbai Indians team was fined $10,000 for the same. This was Sachin Tendulkar’s second transgression with the slow over-rates and a third one would lead to a one-match ban for the captain.

Already Kumar Sangakkara has been banned by the IPL for one game for slow-rates on three different occasions.

Gautam Gambhir has been fined once as well.
