Shane Warne, Dinesh Karthik in on-field squabble in IPL at Kotla
Shane Warne and Dinesh Karthik were involved in a minor squabble on the field at the Feroz Shah Kotla in the game between Delhi and Rajasthan.
Karthik had just come to crease and off the bowling off Warne, he scoop-swept Warne towards the fence and went for a run. In the process, both Karthik and Warne ran towards the stumps and there was some jostling that happened. At the end of the over, Warne asked Karthik why did he push him, to wish Karthik paid no heed to.
In the last over of the innings, Karthik was still batting well beyond his 50 and thrashing all the bowlers away. He refused a single in order to take most of the strike and Warne, rather surprisingly, questioned Karthik’s wisdom in doing so. Karthik did not say much but smashed the next ball from Shaun Tait for a six and then asked Warne repeatedly whether he got the reason!
Probably, Warne was just trying to prove that he was not scared of anyone!
