Albie Morkel hits three sixes off Shane Warne, most sixes hit off Warne

Shane Warne became the bowler to be hit for the most number of sixes in IPL cricket when he was smacked for three sixes off as many balls by Albie Morkel.

Morkel smashed three in three and that took the Warne’s tally to 39 sixes being scored off him, followed Piyush Chawla, who has been hit for 37 sixes. Praveen Kumar comes third with 35 sixes taken off him.

The three sixes came off the 18th over of the Chennai Super Kings’ innings, and almost took the game to the opposition, before Shaun Tait came to scalp Albie Morkel’s wicket.
