Shoaib Malik to appeal against fine, ban
Pakistan’s banned cricketer, Shoaib Malik has said that he will appeal against his ban by the PCB by the next week. Malik was banned for a period of 12 months and was fined a sum of Rs 2 million by the PCB.
It was said that Malik was to appeal against his penalty this week itself, but thought of doing so after returning back from the Bangladesh League that he is currently participating in.
Malik protested the ban and said that he was innocent. He also added that he will knock on every door possible to get justice.
Naved-ul-hasan Rana is another Pakistani who has decided to appeal against the ban. He was also banned by the PCB for one year and fined the same amount. The PCB has said that the players had up to a month to respond to the ban and has appointed a three-member panel to look into the charges in case the players appealed.
