Yuvraj dropped from Middlesex T20 Cup squad

Yuvraj Singh has been dropped by Middlesex for the T20 Cup after having signed him for the same. The issue was supposed to be with the uncertainty surrounding India’s international schedule and the fact that he had yet to get a written approval from the BCCI regarding the same.

The Indians play in a tri-series in Zimbabwe, with Sri Lanka as the third side, during the same time as the T20 Cup in England. There is also a possibility of India playing a Test series in Sri Lanka during July and August.

Adam Gilchrist is one of those recruited by Middlesex for this T20 Cup season, while they had earlier shown interest in getting in Sachin Tendulkar. However, Tendulkar had politely refused the offer given that he wanted to take a break in the middle of a very hectic cricket season.
