Delhi Daredevils drop Tillakaratne Dilshan

Rather surprisingly, Tillakaratne Dilshan was dropped from the Delhi side in their fifth game of the IPL. Dilshan has been one of the best performers in this form of the game for the last couple of years or so.

Delhi went into the game after losing two successive games having won the first couple of them. Dilshan hasn’t had a great tournament so far, having got a couple of ducks and then following it up with two other low scores.

In Dilshan’s place, Moises Henriques makes his IPL debut for the Delhi Daredevils. Henriques is a New South Welshman, who will bat in the middle order and bowl his four overs of medium pace.

Daredevils went into the game without Gautam Gambhir as well, who has yet to recover from his hamstring injury. Apart from that, they made another couple of changes as Sarabjeet Ladda and Yogesh Nagar come into the side as well.
