Naved-ul-Hasan Rana to appeal against PCB ban

Naved-ul-Hasan Rana has said that he will appeal against the ban that PCB had been slapped on him. He was fined Rs. 2 million and has been banned for one year from playing international cricket for Pakistan. He is, however, free to play any kind of domestic cricket.

Rana is one of the seven players to have been penalised by the PCB, a list that includes the likes of Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi and Kamran Akmal.

Rana said that the reason the PCB had said he was banned was because of he had under-performed in Australia. He, however, said that this was not true and that whenever he played he did it to the best of his capabilities.

The players have up to 30 days to file their appeal after the ban was announced.
