Answers to CDCQ-1 and winner!
So, here we go. The answers to the first Cricket Diaries Cricket Quiz (CDCQ).
The first one was undoubtedly difficult. The relation between the grounds was that all of them have hosted the opening game of the World Cups in 1987, 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003 and 2007. You had to answer which stadium would host it in 2011. It was Sher-e-Bangla in Dhaka. Funnily, a couple of you, got the relation right, but for some reason, mentioned the answer as M Chidambaram in Chennai. Soft dismissal that!
The second and third, all of you got right. Top-scorers in Under-19 World Cup and Googly. Interestingly, the first time Bosanquet had unleashed the delivery, it had bounced four times before dismissing the batsman, stumped.
The fourth was not as difficult as I thought it would be. In fact, I was surprised to find that the only players that ‘Bosied’ some of you were A and B! No, they were not Monty Panesar and Bishen Singh Bedi, but Bopara and Tendulkar! The rest of them, all got them right, Shane Warne, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Pakistan, Rahul Dravid, Javagal Srinath in that order.
And based on this, and the fact that the tied result would mean that the winner is that dude/dudette who has sent it the earliest, the winner of the quiz is Venkat Ananth. Congratulations Venkat! An IPL pass to watch a game tomorrow in the BIG CINEMAS movie hall tomorrow!

Never mind though, would like to commend you guys. A good quiz which required some common sense, some knowledge and some googling
