PCB allows 30 days for fined players to appeal
The PCB has said that the penalised players had a maximum of 30 days to appeal against their bans and punishments that they were handed out. The PCB COO, Wasim Bari has said that under the laws of the PCB the players had a right to appeal against the ruling within the one month time frame.
Bari was the head of the committee that had carried out the enquiry and recommended the ruling.
The PCB has also appointed two retired Supreme court judges – Muneer Sheikh and Jamshed Ali Shah – and a former high court judge, Irfan Qadir, who could deal with the appeals if the things came to that.
Rather surprisingly, none of the seven players who were handed over punishments had spoken publicly about the appeal and none of them have enough spoken about whether they will appeal against the ruling. It looks to be a silence before the storm!
