Bhagat Singh’s grandson files complaint against Kings XI Punjab
The Kings XI Punjab may not have been playing too well on the cricket field, and that seems to have carried forward to their off the field performances as well. The side owners were hauled up by an NGO for putting up an advertisement that has said to have hurt the sentiments of people in the country.
The advertisement had run on the second day of the tournament, on the day of their first game against Delhi and said, “The stadium was silent. Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru had just walked into the stands. Are you the wildest Kings XI fan in the stadium? Then you are fan of the match…”
There were protests in turn and an NGO had moved court against the ad. Also, Bhagat Singh’s grandson, Abhey Singh Sandhu, has filed a complaint against the Punjab owners, Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta and others.
Bollywood actress Zinta said that it was not her intention to hurt anyone and if that had happened then they were sorry about it. She has also said that the ads were removed from the newspaper immediately.
Kings XI Punjab has played two games in the tournament so far and lost both of them; to Delhi and to Bangalore
