Punjab post 203/3 in 20 overs as Bopara slams another half century
The Kings XI Punjab side has put the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling to sword by scoring 203 in their 20 overs. This was mainly possible thanks to the opening stand of 129 runs between Manvinder Bisla and Ravi Bopara. Both, Bisla and Bopara scored 70s, as Bopara went on to slam his second successive half century in the tournament.
Yuvraj Singh failed again with the bat, while Mahela Jayawardene slammed a quick-fire 13-ball 26 to propel the score forward. All the bowlers were put to sword by the Punjab batsman with Dale Steyn’s 1/36 off his four overs being the best analysis for the Bangalore side.
Bopara now has the Orange Cap with more than 120 runs, taking it over from Yusuf Pathan, who had slammed a century in the first game but was dismissed for a duck in the next.
