Kolkata Knight Riders beat Bangalore, win second successive game

Kolkata’s giant-killing streak and Shah rukh Khan’s more than giant speaking one continued as the Knight Riders routed Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets with four balls to spare.

Batting first the Royal Challengers Bangalore lost four wickets for almost next to nothing, and the recovery was only marginal. Jacques Kallis was the only batsman who got going with a 65 to his name, while Dravid and Uthappa both had 20s to their name.

However, the day belonged to Angelo Mathews who ended with a four wicket haul to go with his unbeaten half century in the first match and conceded only 19 off his four overs.

Chasing 136 was never going to be difficult and with a start like what the Knight Riders got through Brad Hodge and Manoj Tiwari, the Bangalore side was never in hunt. Both scored exactly a 50, with Tiwari bringing it up in 29 balls.

Ganguly smacked a 23 and in the end, and the Knight Riders ran home winners in their second successive game. Tiwari won the man of the match award.
