Michael Clarke, Lara Bingle call off engagement
Michael Clarke has called off his engagement with his fiancé and model Lara Bingle.
Clarke had had rushed back to Australia from the middle of the tour of New Zealand after it was found that the Bingle’s nude photographs had been circulated in a magazine. This, she claimed, was done by her former boyfriend, and footballer, Brendan Fevola.
Bingle had then been reportedly paid $200,000 for an exclusive interview and photo shoot for Women’s Day magazine, the same one which had earlier showed the nude pic.
Clarke had come in for a lot of criticism from the media and the fans alike for his decision to quit the tour mid-way for such a reason, and there have been questions asked of him. It is not yet known whether he will come back to New Zealand for the Test matches which start next week.
